The Scope of the Lab is to meet educational, research and development needs in the academic fields of Atmospheric Environment and Solid Waste Management. It covers topics related to:
Air quality and its modelling, Transboundary air pollution and pollution on a global scale, Collection and analysis of air quality data, Meteorology and Climate, Numerical weather prediction models, Global climate models and their dynamic downscaling, Global chemistry-transport models, Relation of greenhouse gases to local and global climate, Optical and physicochemical properties of suspended particles and their correlation with direct or indirect effect on climate, Interaction of air quality and climate changes and effects on human health, on biotic and abiotic factors, Global Biogeochemistry, Methodology of research, analysis-management of atmospheric pollutant data, Strategies for pollutant emission control and reduction, Indoor air quality
